Treating disease is really important, but it requires focusing on the person first. It takes time to get to know someone on that level. If you only see them for 20 minutes once a year for an annual visit, you can’t truly interact with patients the way I think doctors should. To me, the paradigm of osteopathic medicine is not about disease management. It’s about how all of the systems interact together as a whole and how I can use that approach to help you as a patient grow and improve.
